Lucy Bauld

I am an artist from Launceston, Tasmania and am emerging in my art career. My work is primarily abstract and impressionist landscape acrylic paintings, full of movement, colour and texture. I aim to create art that reflects my own personality and fun nature. Inspiration from Tasmania’s mountains and coastal waters often influence my work with a profound impact of flow through my paintings from many years studying hydrodynamics and working as a maritime engineer.

Primarily my work is acrylic on canvas which I sell through my website. I recently held my first exhibition, which ended as a sold-out show at a local café in Launceston. I am a mum, adventure enthusiast, engineer and nature lover. I paint because somehow simultaneously it is my meditation, it lights a fire in me, and when creating I feel most connected to my late mum.
