I am not an Art follower, but an Art lover!

Details

I have been in love with Art since my earliest memories, when I would pick up a pencil and paper and put on whatever I saw: a lamp, a fruit, an old ad in a magazine, my father....I adored Leonardo and Michelangelo's drawings from a very young age, and I dreamed of being able to go to Italy to see those wonders in person. As I grew up, Art became not only something beautiful to dedicate my time to, but also a place to hide when the world seemed difficult to me: in drawing and painting I found my refuge. I believe that art has saved my life. So it has been an unconditional love.

I studied Arts in my birth city, Jaén, Andalucía, with a great Master, Luis Santiago. After a break, due to the preparation of some oppositions, I have studied with the artists I admire most in the world, thanks to social networks, for example, the incomparable Ali Cavanaugh, with whom I did a workshop in Seville, or with Ale Casanova, Michelle Bajona or Juan Perednik, with whom I have done some courses.

I have been selected in the II International Watercolor Festival of Córdoba, in 2024, with my work “Niñas peinándose” (Girls combing their hair). In this meeting we painted with some of the greatest watercolorists in the world.

I mostly paint or draw portraits. I am passionate about human beings, and I find it incredible that, among so many people, each one has a different face, their own features.  I identify myself, above all, with figurative art, but within that space, I love to leave in my drawings unfinished spaces, blank, the lines of the drawing, or underdrawing, stains. It's like personalizing a little bit my way of seeing people. I often paint children, because I find it a challenge to be able to capture that innocence, and above all: to be able to stop an instant on paper or canvas.

I also enjoy portraying people I admire from the world of cinema or music, such as Audrey Hepburn, Nina Simone, or Freddy Mercury. I do portraits on commission, sometimes in watercolor, and sometimes in acrylic or graphite/charcoal.

I have done some commissioned portraits to countries like Singapore.
