Kathy explores healing from childhood trauma by walking in harmony with nature. While honoring the child within her and the environment, she makes assemblages with natural pigments, found objects, and pulp from recycled paper. Her sustainability interests emanate from positive childhood experiences in nature. Kathy’s experiences foraging for berries and mushrooms, making forts in the woods with her sister, helping with the family garden and poultry, and beekeeping in Honduras informed her respect and gratitude for nature.
