Brooke Reimer is a contemporary artist based in peaceful, beautiful central California. After retiring from a corporate career in project management, she sought to re-enter the art world as a means of creative expression and to share her talents with others. Her lifelong passion for painting was nurtured through lessons with a professional painter during her early college years, though she never imagined it would turn into a career. Though she initially did exclusively commission-based work, she has now exhibited her work in Anaheim, New York City, and Milan, Italy. She employs a variety of mediums, most notably fine and coarse grain salt to create textures unique to her style and inspiration. Her work reflects the idea that salt, one of nature’s most abundant minerals, holds the memory of the past, as its grains are absorbed and dissolved, passing through centuries and existing in various forms across generations.
