Oksana Karpiuk-Bariencik is a contemporary Ukrainian artist based in London, specializing in expressive portraiture. She studied fine art in Zhytomyr, Ukraine, and has exhibited her work in both Ukraine and the UK. Oksana works primarily in mixed media, using oil and acrylic to capture nuanced human expressions. Her work was featured at The Holy Art Gallery in London in 2023. Currently, she is exploring larger canvases to deepen her exploration of human emotions through her portraits.
Through my portraits, I seek to communicate complex human emotions and inner experiences without the need for words. Each piece is an invitation to connect with the subtleties of our shared sensibilities—layered, beautiful, and, at times, fragile. My creative process combines mixed media, oil, and acrylic to capture the depth of human expression. By working on larger canvases, I aim to amplify these themes, creating intimate conversations that reveal the intricacies of our emotional landscapes.
As an artist, my work explores the intricate interplay of human emotions and the beauty of individuality. Through vibrant portraits and expressive faces, I aim to capture the raw essence of human experience, experimenting with a variety of colors and materials to convey depth and mood. My art celebrates diversity and the emotional resonance that connects us all.
Additionally, I bring my creativity into three-dimensional space by crafting unique interior art pieces. These works are designed to harmonize with home environments, blending authenticity with aesthetic appeal.
