Francesca Tesoriere is a Sicilian illustrator, born and raised in Palermo, where she currently lives, alternating Art teaching with graphic activity. During his formation and period of study, he lived for some years in Madrid and Rome. She graduated in Architecture in 2000 in Palermo, and in 2002, she obtained a Diploma in Illustration at IED in Rome. She has been working on Illustration since 2002. Since 2018, she has been painting abstract paintings inspired by the plant world. Contemporary Italian artist Francesca Tesoriere explores the deep connection between humans and the natural world. In her artistic research, trees and plants become like living microcosms, a powerful metaphor for creativity and alchemical transformation, a symbol of rebirth and renewal.
In her works, sinuous and dynamic lines stretch along paths that lead the gaze upwards, while branches full of life and vibrant colours transmit vitality and energy. The style is very dynamic and influenced by an abstract language, transforming the subject into a real visual metaphor, in which the artist’s branches seem to become cerebral connections or pulsating veins through which energy and sap flow. The backgrounds, made of white brush strokes disinterested in space, envelop the subject in an amalgam of shades, which contribute to creating a sense of pleasant calm in the viewer.
Francesca Tesoriere’s trees evoke the feeling we feel when we are immersed in nature, reminding us of the importance of this ancestral bond. The artist chooses trees as her muse and, evoking the continuous cycle of life, celebrates diversity, inviting us to look beyond the surface and recognize the intrinsic value of nature and life. A visual exploration, that of Francesca Tesoriere, that fascinates and inspires, leading to a reflection on our interdependence with nature.
I started my career as a freelance illustrator (for about 12 years) and then started painting after becoming an art teacher at a school.
Art, like life, presents challenges and difficulties. Sometimes it’s about making tough decisions, sometimes it’s about patiently waiting for the solution to come.

I learned a lot from Tara Leaver’s online courses, as well as Nicholas Wilton’s workshops. I love the works of many influences (including art history, I’m passionate about it)
I have a strong discipline in doing some (10 minutes a day) art, if not daily, constantly, even if it’s little time. I work at home, in a room studio, so it’s easier in my daily routine when I’m at home.
There are many, from having time to finding my inner and “true own” voice. I discover myself experimenting.
My love for nature and the natural environment is what I hope to be remembered for in my art.
