Through this initiative, WIAN connects women artists with a global audience, giving their creativity the recognition and reach it has always deserved.

WIAN was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that women’s stories in art matter. Too often their contributions have been overlooked, and their perspectives left untold. This program changes that by offering a space where their visions aren’t just seen, they’re understood. Who Can Apply?

The call is open to women artists worldwide, regardless of age, nationality, or stage in their creative journey. Whether you are an established professional or an emerging voice, the Artist of the Month program provides a platform for you to share your vision.

Artists working in all disciplines are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, textiles, performance, writing, and mixed media.

How to Submit

• Select at least three of your strongest works and provide high-resolution images or videos, accompanied by short descriptions or stories behind each piece.
• Write a concise biography and artist statement that reflects your background, creative philosophy, and milestones.
• Visit the Women in Arts Network website and complete the online submission form, ensuring all materials are attached.
• Send your completed application by August 15, 2025, for consideration.

Selection Process

At WIAN, we deeply value every artist who takes the time to share their work with us. From this thoughtful process, one artist will be selected for the month’s spotlight and announced at the start of the month, but every submission is an important part of the community we are building.

Celebrating Previous Artists of the Month

The Artist of the Month program has already highlighted remarkable women whose art and stories have touched audiences around the world.

For the month of June 2025, Ava Farahani (@avacf.art) from the USA was our Artist of the Month. She is a talented mixed media artist whose work explores themes of memory and identity through beautifully layered narratives.

In May 2025, we celebrated Nara Evangeline Guichon @nara_guichon from Brazil, a visionary painter blending surrealism with raw emotional depth.

In April 2025, the spotlight was on Tina Bopiah @tinabopiah from India, a textile and installation artist redefining cultural storytelling through fabric and form.

Each of these features brought the artists not just recognition, but also opportunities for collaborations, exhibitions, and meaningful connections that helped their artistic journeys move forward.
