My story: The Soul & The Spark

Born and raised in Latin America, my story has been shaped by a deep-rooted connection to creativity, energy, and transformation.

Art has been a constant in my life, a language I instinctively understood even before I could fully express it. My mother, a self-taught clothing designer and artist, unknowingly ignited my artistic passion. Some of my earliest memories are of watching her bring fabrics and canvases to life, an experience that shaped my love for creation.

And that's how I started my creative path in Fashion Design, which ultimately led me to discover my deep love for the fine arts.

My journey: From just Creation to Connection

For years, I focused on designing, on creation. But life has a way of redirecting us.

The pandemic abruptly altered the course of my life, forcing everything to come to a halt and leaving my future uncertain. Yet, in the midst of that chaos, I found a gift I hadn’t realized I needed: time. Time to reflect, to grow, and to reconnect with myself. It forced me to pause and confront my own evolution.

What first seemed like a time of uncertainty became an opportunity for transformation. I turned to painting, not just as an artistic pursuit but as a way to document my personal growth. Each brushstroke became an expression of resilience, self-discovery, and raw emotion.

In that moment, I realized that art is not just about creation, art is about connection. I want my artwork to serve as a reminder that even though change is inevitable, chaos always births clarity, and that we are capable of achieving whatever we set our minds to.

The Next Chapter: 'ZAE' The Solution to a Question I Couldn't Answer

Three years ago, my daughter asked me a question I had been asking myself since I was her age. "Why does my body feel like this?"

I didn't have an answer for her. I had spent most of my adult life trying to find one for myself, and I had nothing to hand her. I grew up believing that feeling like a stranger in my own body was simply part of being a woman.

The exhaustion. The mood shifts. The weeks that felt like two different people living inside the same skin. No tool, no doctor, and no app I ever encountered explained why. I tracked everything. I owned the wearables. I kept the journals. I accumulated more data about my body than I had ever had, and somehow, I understood it less.

Every tool answered the same surface questions: when a cycle began, when did it end, what a heart rate measured. None of them answered the question that actually mattered. Why? Why does today feel different than yesterday, and why does the pattern keep repeating? When my daughter asked me that question, I realized I couldn't hand her the same incomplete toolkit I had grown up with.

    So, I started building.

ZAE is the answer I couldn't find for myself. It is a hormonal intelligence platform that reads where the body actually is on any given day, the phase, the life-stage, the energy, and reshapes itself around you. It is the first platform that knows what day it is for your body, not just what day it is on your calendar.

I built it because no one else was going to. The women whose bodies this platform serves were not going to wait for someone with a more traditional résumé to show up. My background is fashion design, fine art, and software architecture that I taught myself when I realized the thing I needed didn't exist. Three disciplines that, at first glance, have nothing to do with each other. But all three taught me the same lesson: we are creators and design is simply the art of making the invisible visible.

A painting and a piece of software can both ask the same questions:

    Is this truly meaningful?

Did this make someone feel seen?

Can you truly connect with it?

I built ZAE for the same reason I paint. I want it to be something that people can connect with, something that helps someone feel a little more understood by this world we are moving through.

And because the next time my daughter asks me why her body feels the way it does,

I want her to finally have an answer.

    My Vision: Channeling the Unseen

It is not my wish to replicate reality. As Bukowski said, "I live in another dimension."

My vision as an artist is to channel the unique energy that everything, every living being, every place, and every experience carries within, and to transform it into something tangible: an imprint of emotion, movement, and life that speaks beyond words.

My Style: The Alchemy of Energy

My art is defined by its rich textures, which create a captivating three-dimensional effect, and a palette of warm yellows and vibrant golden hues. These are the colors of clarity, confidence, and optimism.

I believe art should be a multisensory experience. The texture of my paintings adds a layer of intimacy that enhances viewer engagement. It is an invitation to immerse, to feel the energy of the piece, and to connect with the story it tells.

My art today is a reflection of the realization that art is not just about creation. Art is about connection.

Nina Graffe is a multidisciplinary entrepreneur, designer, and technology founder whose career bridges software architecture, wellness innovation, branding, and fine arts. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, she is the Founder and CEO of AEZAE Corp., where she leads the development of ZAE, a hormonal intelligence platform designed to help users understand and work with their bodies through state-adaptive biological insights.

With an academic background in fashion and apparel design, Nina transitioned from the creative arts into technology, combining design thinking, user experience, and human-centered innovation to address complex health challenges.

Driven by her own experiences with hormonal health and a desire to create better tools for future generations, Nina spent several years conceptualizing and building ZAE, a hormonal intelligence platform that serves five biological life-stages: women cycling, pregnant, postpartum, menopausal, and men on their own circadian rhythm. The platform leverages artificial intelligence and biological data to provide state-adaptive wellness guidance that responds to where a user's body actually is on any given day. Under her leadership, ZAE has introduced features such as AI-powered endocrine disruptor detection across food, beauty, household, and clothing categories; biological calendar synchronization; and adaptive wellness recommendations that reshape themselves around an individual's real-time physiological state.

Beyond her work in health technology, Nina is also an accomplished contemporary artist and entrepreneur with experience in fashion design, branding, and product development. Her creative philosophy centers on using technology as a medium for meaningful human connection, a principle reflected in both her artistic and business endeavors.

As an alumni graduated from the Spring 2026 TakeOff accelerator at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, she has successfully guided ZAE from concept to market launch and continues to advocate for a biologically informed approach to wellness. Through innovation, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose, Nina is helping shape the future of health technology while empowering individuals to better understand and work with their own biology.
