Lauren, known as “The Artist Within,” began her artistic journey four years ago during a challenging time in her life marked by significant changes that led to panic attacks and depression. After years of running her family’s gym, she rediscovered her passion for art, realizing that overcoming her struggles allowed her to pursue creativity without fear. Lauren values her artistic practice for helping her find herself again and is dedicated to following her paintbrush wherever it leads. Her goal is to be extraordinary and reach her true potential through consistent practice and patience.
I’ve helped my parents run “All Fit All Ages Gym” in Port Perry, Ontario for 21 years. As a family owned business, it took a lot of time and energy to make it successful. Art was not on my radar at that point. At that time, I was dedicated to becoming a better Personal Trainer and learning the ins and outs of small business. I credit that experience with helping me become better with people because I can talk to anyone and everyone! Part of being an artist is being able to connect with others. I can think on my feet and be able to handle myself in chaotic social situations. Exercise was my priority up until a few years ago, then my attention shifted. I love my job as a personal trainer but I have learned art is my true love and its a part of my life for better or worse. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in jobs that I love, how many people can say that?
My biggest regret would be living and ordinary life when I dream of extraordinary achievements. I am following my passion without hesitation becuase life is far too short.

The worst time in my life brought me to my true purpose. It taught me to become fearless and go after what I want. I decided to take any and all courses I could to help myself. I realized I am in a position where I have the time and freedom to pursue my creativity. The time is now! My biggest regret would be living and ordinary life when I dream of extraordinary achievements. I am following my passion without hesitation becuase life is far too short. My mother has also been my greatest supporter! She inspired me to go after what I want and work hard. Most of all she taught me to value my skill and ability.
This is an interesting question. As an artist, i have learned to tune in to my gut feeling. I know when a piece is finished when look at it and feel a sense of peace and harmony. I do not strive for perfection. I strive to create work to the best of my ability. If I’ve given 100% and it’s still imperfect, I can live with that.
I hope they feel encouraged to pursue their own creativity. The only path to follow is the one you create for yourself
