The Women in Arts Network is thrilled to share the overwhelming and heartfelt response to our global open call for the International Virtual Exhibition: The Places We Call Home. Submissions have been arriving each day from women-identifying and non-binary artists across continents, each work adding a new layer of meaning to this profoundly human theme.
This online exhibition will feature intimate and thought-provoking pieces that explore what “home” means whether it’s a tangible place, a treasured memory, or a feeling that lingers quietly in the soul.
There’s still time to submit your work and be part of this deeply meaningful showcase.
Home does not look or feel the same for everyone. For some, it is walls that hold the echo of laughter, a garden that changes with every season, or the streets of a city that shaped their sense of who they are. For others, home isn’t rooted in bricks or geography it’s the comfort in a loved one’s voice, the smell of rain on warm earth, or the bittersweet ache of nostalgia for something lost, or never found.
This exhibition is an opportunity to bring those deeply personal interpretations into the light. Through paint, photography, textiles, sculpture, digital work or any medium that feels true to your story, you are invited to create something that stirs reflection, sparks memory, and invites others to think about their own idea of “home.”
Selected artworks will be showcased in an international virtual exhibition, reaching curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts worldwide.
Participants can opt to share their creative story and process through an exclusive feature, offering a deeper look at their inspiration and journey.
Your work will join a collective of voices shaping a rich, layered conversation about the meaning of “home.”
This call is open to a wide and inclusive community of creatives:
