Have you ever wished someone, somewhere, could feel what you feel when you create? Imagine your work traveling far beyond your walls, touching hearts in places you’ve never been, sparking conversations with people who truly understand the care, effort, and love that went into each piece.

This October, the Women in Arts Network wants to give you that opportunity. We’re opening submissions for Artist of the Month October 2025, a chance for your art and your story to shine, to be seen, and to inspire people across the globe.

We know that being an artist isn’t always easy. There are moments of pure joy, when everything flows perfectly, and there are moments of doubt, when it feels like no one will ever understand your vision. Every painstaking hour you spend arranging a mosaic, fine-tuning a drawing, or rewriting a paragraph of your latest piece is meaningful. But too often, that effort goes unseen, your brilliance kept just for yourself.

At WIAN, we believe it’s time for your work to step into the light. Being Artist of the Month isn’t just recognition it’s a platform to share your inspirations, your struggles, and your triumphs. It’s a way to let your voice be heard, to connect with a community that genuinely values women’s creativity, and to open doors you might not even have imagined. If you’re a woman creating with heart, this is for you. Age, background, or experience doesn’t matter here what matters is the authenticity and passion behind your work. Whether you are just beginning to explore your craft or are a seasoned professional challenging the limits of your medium, your art has a place here. We celebrate all forms of expression, including:

You don’t need a membership with WIAN. You just need a desire to share your vision, a story worth telling, and the courage to let the world experience it.

The Opportunities Awaiting You

Being named Artist of the Month is about so much more than just a title. It’s a chance for your work to reach real people who care about art, creativity, and women’s voices. Your story, your journey, and your creations will be shared with a global audience who are curious, inspired, and excited to see what you’ve made.

We’ll create a personal feature on our website, highlighting your background, the story behind your work, and a selection of your favourite pieces. You’ll also get personalised interview questions where you can talk about what inspires you, how you create, and what keeps you going as an artist.

But it doesn’t stop there. Your work will be shared across our social media, newsletter, and blog, giving you the chance to connect with curators, galleries, and collectors who are genuinely interested in discovering new talent. In short, this is your moment to turn all those quiet, private hours of creating into a conversation with the world and finally let people see the art and stories you’ve been holding close.

How to Submit

Submitting is simple, and we’ve made it straightforward so you can focus on what matters most: sharing your art. Complete the online submission form on the WIAN website. Choose at least three of your strongest works, and include high-resolution images or videos, along with short descriptions or stories behind each piece. Add a concise biography and an artist statement to reflect your journey, philosophy, and achievements.

Application Fee: $16 USD
Optional Interview Feature: $27 USD

Each submission is reviewed by our panel of curators and art experts, who carefully consider originality, creativity, and the heart behind each work. One artist will be featured, but every applicant becomes part of a supportive and inspiring community of women artists shaping the future of creativity.
