Growing up in Wiesbaden, Germany, my childhood was filled with the charm of its historic streets and cultural richness. After completing my education, I pursued my passion for art, history of art and psychology, earning a master at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. For 30 years, I split my time between Munich, immersed in the vibrant art scene and Scottsdale, Arizona, enjoying the desert landscape and diverse cultural influences. As an artist, you always ask yourself, WHY? Why am I doing Art, what is the deeper meaning of my Art? As an Artist, I believe in the power of spirituality and its influence on my creations. I tap into my spiritual abilities when I create, allowing my energy to flow into the artwork.

1. What inspired you to become an artist?

I started to paint when I was 4 years old. My parents supported me at this early age. I went to a special Kindergarten, where I learned different techniques and how to use colours. I got my first canvases and oil colours at the age of 5, so there was no doubt I would become an artist one day.

As an Artist, I believe in the power of spirituality and its influence on my creations.

2. What is your creative process like from start to finish?

My spirituality is deeply intertwined with my creative process. My artwork reflects my connection to a higher power (or inner self ), guiding and inspiring me. When I create, I feel a sense of alignment with something greater than myself, and this connection flows into my work, shaping its themes, colours and forms. Through my art, I explore and express the core beliefs and values that my spirituality teaches me. Whether it’s the concept of unity, love, or the soul’s transcendence, these ideas find their way into my work, allowing me to communicate my spiritual journey visually. For me, creating art is a meditative practice. My spirituality encourages me to listen to my intuition, to be present in the moment, and to let go of the need for control. My spirituality sees art as a healing and transformation tool for myself and others. Creating allows me to process emotions, transcend challenges, and find inner peace. I hope my work can offer a similar experience of reflection and healing to those who view it.

3. Where do you find inspiration for your artwork?

My artwork unfolds organically as I create, guided by intuition rather than a predetermined plan. I start painting with a smudging ceremony and loud music, allowing my instincts and emotions to lead. I believe that this spontaneity brings a sense of authenticity and vitality to my work. This process allows the work to grow and change direction freely, resulting in a final piece that feels alive. My process is fluid and open-ended; it results from the beauty of letting go and trusting the creative process.

4. What role does experimentation play in your art practice?

I often use recycled materials in my artwork. They symbolize transformation and renewal. Just as I breathe new life into these materials, my art conveys the idea that beauty can be found even in the overlooked. Acrylic paint enhances this process, allowing me to bring out textures into materials. I use vibrant colours and dynamic compositions in my work in order to provide a sense of energy and emotional intensity. Bright, bold colours have the power to evoke strong emotional responses. I want to create visually stimulating pieces, inviting viewers to explore every canvas corner.

Through my art, I explore and express the core beliefs and values that my spirituality teaches me. Whether it’s the concept of unity, love, or the soul’s transcendence, these ideas find their way into my work, allowing me to communicate my spiritual journey visually.

5. How do you know when a piece of art is finished?

For me, the true excitement lies in the creative process. Painting is a journey where each brush stroke brings me closer to something unknown, and I embrace the flow of creation as much as the final result. I love it when the direction of the painting shifts unexpectedly. These moments of surprise are where the real magic happens when the painting begins to guide me rather than vice versa. In the end, the canvas reflects my vision and the spontaneous moments that shaped it. Embracing the unpredictable not only brings joy to the process but also makes each piece one of a kind.
