Final Week to Apply: The Places We Call Home Virtual Exhibition

Home has never been just walls and a roof. For some, it’s the childhood street that still feels alive in memory. For others, it’s the scent of bread baking in the oven, the comfort of a parent’s voice, or the way sunlight filters into a familiar room. And sometimes, home isn’t a place at all it’s belonging, connection, or even longing for something that feels just out of reach.

So let me ask you: what does home mean to you?

This is the heart of The Places We Call Home. It’s an open call for artists around the world to reflect, create, and share their own vision of what home means. And with just one week left until the deadline, this is your final chance to be part of a global exhibition that speaks to one of the most universal human experiences we all share.

Why This Theme Matters

Think about how often “home” shows up in art, music, and storytelling. A single chair in a painting can carry years of family dinners. A photograph of a street corner can hold decades of memory. A handwoven textile might carry not only culture but the voices of generations.

When we create about home, we’re not only showing objects or spaces we’re translating emotions: comfort, safety, belonging, grief, or longing. Home is memory. Home is identity. Home is the story of who we are.

Now imagine your work standing among other artists’ interpretations of home together forming a powerful global conversation. That’s what this exhibition is about.
