I am a Swiss interdisciplinary visual artist based in Zurich. As a creative director at an international insurance company, I navigate the corporate landscape daily. Sara De Pasquale
My journey as an artist began in ’95 with analog photography and black and white collages. Over time, I evolved to explore chemicals, colors, and production techniques. My inspiration to become an artist comes from my desire to express my true self. Art provides a channel for my thoughts and passions, allowing me to communicate deeply personal and universal themes.
My inspiration comes from various sources, including my cultural background, my partner, my children, and my friends. I am profoundly influenced by the wonders of nature, often drawing inspiration from anything that captures my attention. Additionally, I find inspiration in the works of other artists, whom I see as companions on this creative journey, as great minds think alike.
As an artist, I believe you cannot force creativity. It flows when it flows. During periods of low inspiration, I try to be patient and give myself time to recharge. I immerse myself in activities that stimulate my mind and senses, trusting that inspiration will return when the time is right.
Experimentation is central to my art practice. I often engage in trial and error, embracing failures as opportunities to learn and grow. My credo is to be bold and try again if something doesn’t work. If a technique feels easy, it’s likely the right path; if not, I seek new methods. The courage to explore and innovate is essential in finding new ways to express my vision.
My goal is to create a lasting impact, encouraging viewers to see the world through a lens of empathy and understanding.
