The poetry of light, form, and feeling.
The poetry of light, form, and feeling.
Yentis is a multidisciplinary artist based in East London, whose work captures the quiet beauty of everyday life. Moving between realism and dreamlike abstraction, she explores light, shadow, stillness, and the emotional weight of ordinary moments. Organic forms, botanical motifs, and gentle colour palettes thread through her painting, ceramic, and jewellery practices. She trained at Hampstead School of Art with a specialisation in colour and now runs Cosy Corner, a creative studio where she teaches community workshops. Her work has been exhibited widely in London and internationally.
My work explores the poetry in overlooked moments—soft shadows on walls, warm afternoon light, the intimacy of a shared silence. I’m interested in how the ordinary can become cinematic, how the subconscious brushes against the conscious in the rhythm of daily life. My practice moves between two styles: one grounded in realism, with botanical and interior subjects; the other more abstract and dreamlike, where mood and memory guide the form. Both are deeply connected to feeling, and both question what is seen and unseen.
Working across painting, ceramics, and jewellery, I respond to the quiet wonder I find in light, texture, and natural forms. The process is meditative—an escape into a world of sensation and subtle transformation. Through my work, I hope to invite others to pause, notice, and find a moment of connection—whether with the subject, the colour, or something quietly stirring in themselves.
Theme & Inspiration
My work is inspired by the fleeting beauty of everyday life—quiet moments, soft light, botanical forms, and the emotional atmosphere of familiar spaces. I’m drawn to stillness, the passage of time, and the subtle interplay between what’s seen and felt. Nature, especially the way it filters into interiors—through shadows, reflections, or objects—features often in my work. I explore themes of home, memory, and presence, balancing realism with abstraction to reflect both the physical and inner world. It's a practice rooted in observation, but shaped by feeling.
