Bijal is a visual artist who transformed her lifelong passion for art into a professional career, despite initially pursuing architecture. Having lived across Europe and now based in Austin, TX, she draws inspiration from her surroundings, capturing the beauty of everyday objects and florals through the rich medium of oil paint.
Her artistic journey began as a personal exploration, where she developed a deep appreciation for structure, composition, and fine detail. For over a decade, her passion for painting evolved beyond a hobby, leading her to refine her skills and establish herself as a full-time artist.
Influenced by her background in architecture, her work blends precision with expressive brushwork, highlighting the delicate balance between structure and spontaneity. She finds inspiration in the simple, often-overlooked elements of daily life—the arrangement of flowers, the play of light on objects, or the quiet elegance of familiar spaces/objects. Through her use of vibrant color palettes and layered textures, she seeks to evoke a sense of warmth, nostalgia, and appreciation for the details that surround us.
Since transitioning into a full-time artistic practice, Bijal has exhibited in groups and solo at various art fairs, galleries, and festivals across the Netherlands, and Switzerland. She continues to expand her presence in Austin’s thriving art scene since 2023. Her work has been featured at Texas State University, Austin Bergstrom International Airport and many galleries/art shows with many art societies and groups.
Bijal’s lifelong passion for creating art, combined with the discovery of the fleeting beauty of the world through her global travels, has fueled her artistic journey for over a decade. Growing up in India and experiencing the pristine landscapes of Europe has deeply influenced her work. The bright color palette and fine detailed study in her art reflect her true self—simple, full of life, and harmonious.
