Sculptor currently playing with paper & light 💗✂️

Details

Caro's work emphasises the delicacy of paper versus its architectural structure within a minimalist setting. Behind every piece lies a message usually related to issues in our colloquial world dealing with topics such as women's rights and animal welfare.

She draws inspiration for her pieces from the urban landscape and her own travels as well as her love for neon lighting, typography, architecture and geometrical patterns, as well as human behaviour in the online realm.

Born in Paris and raised globally, Caro currently has a studio in London UK.

Most of her work is sculpture based using paper, card and metal, playing with the reflective illusion of colours and light.

She exhibits in galleries, shows and art fairs worldwide and is open to commissions.

"My art is about light, patterns & perception, spreading some love, joy and colour in the world while creating art that makes you pause in your steps, activate people's imagination, and ultimately ask the question: how was this done, why and with what?

I want my work to communicate and educate on issues of rare conditions, rare medical situations, especially for children, teens and young adults whilst at the same time reflect on the beauty of the material and concept.

If you walk away from my art with a smile then I have done something right."
