Kerstin Behnke - the musician - develops interactive and interdisciplinary concert concepts, directs the via-nova-chor Munich and is a professor of choir and ensemble conducting.
Kenneth E. Brisk – the artist – writes arrangements, paints pictures, creates self-portraits and hides art objects. He is the embodiment of the masculine traits that have accompanied Kerstin Behnke since childhood. From an inner perspective, these characteristics always felt right, but were met with incomprehension and resistance from the outside world.
The two identities dance and wrestle with each other, claim or deny authorship, celebrate their contrasts and celebrate their shared power.

A series of now 206 self-portraits. From a series of 205 self-portraits. During the painting process, emotional states break free from the unconscious, confront me and resonate.
I am fascinated by the voluptuous exuberance and relentless transience of flowers. By abstracting and exaggerating their structures and forms, I create new images that are both familiar and strange.
