Artist Bio

Sara is a self-taught artist and mom of two. She rebuilt her life and art brand when she immigrated to the US in 2012, and is now renowned for her unique "Ribbon People" and "Ribbon Land" series, trademarked in 2024. Her art explores the limitless dimensions of human experience, from apathy to love. Sara is a storyteller, only using a brush instead of a pen.

I am captivated by the dance of the performing arts and the grace of ribbons. Nature, too, whispers its secrets to my heart. With each creation, I weave a tapestry of deep stories... The essence of a captivating dance performance lies in immersing oneself in the act of dancing, free from any preconceived notions about the final outcome. When I applied this mindset to my art, it transformed my entire approach and significantly impacted my artistic journey. I transitioned from doubting my artistic abilities to developing my own trademarked styles, Ribbon People and Ribbon Land, and fully embracing my unique storytelling creations. Reflecting on the past few decades, fluid ribbons have consistently been a prominent element in my work. It is a profound realization to now acknowledge, own, and refine this aspect of my art, while relinquishing the need for external validation.
