There are moments when inspiration doesn’t wait, when it knocks once and expects you to answer. This is one of those moments. Our global call for bird-themed art is nearing its final days, and if your vision hasn’t taken flight yet, now is the time.
In the past weeks, artists from around the world have responded with extraordinary perspectives: delicate sketches of fleeting wings, bold sculptures capturing resilience, photographs that hold stillness in motion. Together, these submissions are building a breathtaking collection—one that feels alive, diverse, and endlessly moving.
And yet, something is missing: your voice.
This is the last week to add your vision to the chorus. Your perspective could be the one that shifts how someone, somewhere, sees birds forever.
Birds have always found a way to sit close to our hearts. They appear not only in the physical world but also in our imaginations, in the stories we inherit, and in the private moments we rarely share. They remind us of freedom, of journeys, of transformations that are both intimate and universal. A flock stretching across the horizon tells one story, but so does a single bird perched quietly outside a window at dawn. Some of us carry childhood memories of sparrows rustling in hedges, or pigeons rising in a sudden burst of sound, while others carry deeper cultural symbol the crane in old myths, the eagle in rituals, the dove in prayers. For many, birds become companions or guides, mirroring our hopes, longings, and migrations through life.
With this open call, we’ve invited artists to capture those meanings, and the response has been nothing short of breathtaking. But the question remains: what do birds mean to you, and how will you let that meaning take form before the chance disappears?
The works submitted so far are more than artworks, they are moments of life and imagination shaped by wings. Paintings blur the line between earth and sky as feathers turn into clouds. Sculptures show both fragility and strength, standing firm in their contrasts. Photographs hold still what would otherwise vanish in a heartbeat: a bird mid-flight, a quiet pause, a fleeting shadow. Digital pieces transform birds into symbols of hope, of loss, of change.
Each submission carries its own world, yet together they create a powerful chorus of voices. But the collection isn’t complete. Your vision, your story, could be the one that adds what’s missing.
If you’ve been waiting, this is the moment to step forward. The sky is open now, but not for long.
Artists have already begun to share what birds mean to them:
Please note: These are submissions only and do not represent the final selection. The jury will determine the selected artworks after the submission deadline has closed.
We know that time has a way of slipping past us, especially when creativity is involved. Ideas wait for the right moment, and suddenly the moment is gone. That is why we are reminding you now: this is the last week to apply. The deadline is October 9, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. When the clock strikes, the window closes, and the opportunity to be part of this shared story will no longer be there. We do not want your vision, your bird, your story, to be left behind. The artworks we’ve received so far have already begun shaping something extraordinary, but it is not complete without the voices still waiting to take flight.
So we ask you: if your art could grow wings, what message would it carry? Would it speak of freedom or of fragility? Would it sing of companionship, or whisper of journeys still unfolding? Would it echo childhood wonder, or retell cultural stories that have been carried across generations? Whatever your bird might say, whatever story only you can tell, this is the moment to give it form. Do not wait for another season, another opportunity, another call, this one is here now, and it is almost gone.
