"When I was a child I thought as a child." A girl is making a soap bubble, the background behind her is full of light. With this artwork I invite the viewers to become children again, to remind them how it was thinking as a child, with a powerful imagination, focusing on the whole picture, without paying attention to details, caring about the present moment only.

This artwork aims to capture the enigma and seduction of mystery through pop shapes and surreal colors. The pink spheres of the lady protagonist's dress symbolize naivety and femininity, while her gaze incites curiosity and introspection. The marble in her hand creates a sense of estrangement and it invites the protagonist to play with it and leave aside the serious look that shines through from behind the fan, maybe due to her social role.

Daphne's legend, according to poet Ovid's song, wants her to see her hair and hands transformed into branches and leaves and then she will become a linden tree to escape from Apollo. The leaves in my version are as white as feathers, so Daphne's transformation brings her to an inner lightness, which leaves behind the gravity that characterized her as a human being. Her circular hair recalls the sun, which welcomes her into the composition of Nature.

This drawing created in 2017, portrays Mercy, a female character from the cult movie "The Warriors" by Walter Hill (1979). What has always struck me about the characters in this film is that they never seem to age, there is something eternal in their story, their way of behaving and looking at others, which I find very intriguing.
