"Galia Rude: Where softness meets raw expression, breaking the boundaries of art."

Details

My name is Galia Rude, born Galina Tuisova on June 29, 1970, in Syktyvkar, Russia. I currently live in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and work as a contemporary artist. I’ve been passionate about art since childhood, participating in local competitions to refine my skills in painting and drawing. I studied art at the Yaroslavl Art School and later at Syktyvkar State University.
In 2011, I moved to Germany, where the landscapes and architecture of my new surroundings became a significant source of inspiration. Initially, I focused on watercolor landscapes, creating an extensive collection of works between 2011 and 2020. During this time, I also taught watercolor painting at the Volkshochschule.
However, in 2012, my artistic direction began to shift as I started to explore abstract painting. I experimented with acrylics and new watercolor techniques. This phase of my work focused on themes like movement, which can be seen in my "Car Traffic" series, as well as the complexity of human relationships, reflected in my still-life paintings. Over time, my focus expanded to include broader concepts such as time, the universe, and human existence, often blending abstract and futuristic elements. My interest in yoga and transcendental music has greatly influenced this creative evolution.

Since 2020, I’ve been focusing more on my emotional and intuitive responses to the changing world. I work primarily in my studio, creating spontaneously and letting the creative process guide me, often inspired by the rhythms of transcendental music. My sketchbooks, filled with symbols, signs, and letters, form the foundation of many of my pieces, offering viewers both personal interpretation and a symbolic key to my art.
My work is characterized by the use of acrylics and watercolors, creating multidimensional effects that evoke harmony and meditative depth. In my art, I blend elements of Expressionism, Cubism, and Symbolism, inviting viewers to enter a world where time and reality merge and layers of color build complex, thought-provoking compositions. My art has been exhibited internationally, including in Italy, China, Bulgaria, Vietnam, England, and Switzerland.
My artist name, Galia Rude, reflects my artistic journey: "Galia" represents the soft and harmonious side of my work, while "Rude" stands for the raw, unpolished force with which I push artistic boundaries and explore new paths.

In my abstract paintings, I explore the visual codes of global processes - chaos and harmony, struggle and transformation - in search of the keys that open the doors to the future.

My art is a continuous exploration of the themes of time and space. I examine the complex relationships between the past, present, and future, expressing these in my works. Using acrylic and watercolor paints, I create abstract compositions that visualize the ongoing dance between chaos and order, destruction and creation.

Elemental geometric forms, ancient symbols, and mystical motifs frequently find their way into my work. These invite the viewer to embark on a journey of self-reflection and to engage with the deeper layers of consciousness. For me, the search for harmony—both within oneself and with the external world—is at the core of my artistic vision. I firmly believe that it is this harmony that can help prevent humanity’s descent into self-destruction.

My art is an invitation to pause, reflect, and realign with the universal rhythms that connect us all.
