Growing Pains (2025) was inspired by a girls blooming, performative metaphors that romanticise female puberty. This is represented through the use of bold florals, their morphing colours depict the complex reality of aging.

As the spiral of flowers continues, colours and shapes begin to blend into a blur, much like a memory. Clearly shaped florals throughout the image represent recent and core memories. These notions allow the audience to question what type of memories are worth making and keeping in their own lives.

The beginning of spring is a time full of colour. Blossoms bloom free, endless amounts of greenery, and clear blue skies are prominent. Drifting (2026) is about allowing your spirit to run free, and enjoy all the wonders and moments life has to offer.

Stretchmarks (2026) is a contemporary way to creatively visualise stretch marks; physical features many people receive while in the process of growing up. These features are often shunned upon; seen as grotesque, shameful and something to be hidden, especially on female bodies. The reality is that these accents are the opposite; they are viewed as being quite beautiful and should be more socially embraced.

Peros uses After Days (2024) as a visualisation of romanticising and minimising trauma. Bold and vibrant skies attracts the eye; various shades of pink can be seen in order to depict wearing rose coloured glasses. It is followed by a dark and murky sea, which represents the reality of trauma itself.

Feeling lonely is one of the most challenging feelings a person can experience. On one hand, it can cause individuals to spiral, which leads to mental distress and further issues. However, it also allows space for people to figure out who they are, and what they want to achieve. 1 in 6 (2026) is based on the statistics of those who experience social isolation, according to the WHO. This allows viewers to conceptualise the percentage of people who benefitted or were deprived due to isolation, based on the stats.

Gym and hustle culture are concepts that have been embedded into today's society. The idea that we must be constantly working on our career, our bodies, or our minds is eventually going to lead to a global exhaustion. The idea of The Gym (2026) is to show that it is okay to take it one step at a time and live in the present, rather than fixate on the 'what-ifs' of the future.

A Blind Eye looks upon the idea of self-reflection and identity. The subject wears a sparkly head piece that bounces light. This represents the idea of one putting on a persona and hiding their true self from the world. A shadow appears next to the subject, which depicts the betrayal of true identity.

Aaliyah (2026) was created with the idea of capturing how the subject’s younger-self had dreamt she would look as a woman. The piece is named after the subject, as she is viewed as a beautiful, elegent and creative woman; someone Peros’ younger-self admired to be.

The subject is surrounded by darkness, whereas she is the element of colour. Daydream (2026) represents being the source of positive energy in a dark environment.

Femininity can be expressed in various ways. Most commonly portrayed as innocent, dainty, soft, and passive. The Media Edit (2026) challenges these stereotypes, by using a masc-queer subject, wearing typical feminine apparel and cosmetics. The subject is also seen posing in a manner that highlights her strong physique. This allows viewers to see the idea of femininity in a different light, one that doesn't just cast upon the social expectations and standards. A different, and quite frankly better, side of beauty.

Lace is often associated with the idea of being delicate and feminine. The bold facial expression is contradictory to the concept of femininity being casted as soft and innocent. Untitled (2026) either challenges or acknowledges the viewers’ idea of womanhood.

Untitled (2025) was inspired by the noir era. I wanted to embody the theme femme fatal in a modest and elegant manner. When looking upon this theme, in retrospective, most images contained women looking seductive and tempting. My take on this differs, as I want to demonstrate how women don't always need to be sexualised in order to tell a story. The subject of Untitled (2025) is posed looking towards something, as her surroundings fade into darkness. This allows the question, what is she looking at or thinking/dreaming of?
